Type Locality and Naming

Along the Tarakli gorge, North Nuratau ridge, R.R.Usmanov et al. in 1993 (Korsakov et al., 1993). Stratotype along Tarakli.

Lithology and Thickness

Sandy limestones and dolomites, layered, gray with lenticular interlayers of cross-bedded quartz and polymictic sandstones, gravels. Up to 70-200 m.

Contacts with surrounding strata are tectonic (Usmanov et al., 1999).
